Lightning ignites 9 fires in Boise National Forest


BOISE, Idaho - Nine lightning-caused wildfires have started in the Boise National Forest.
Spokeswoman Linda Steinhaus says firefighters that included smokejumpers and a helicopter are fighting the fires that are expected to be under control sometime Saturday.
The largest of the fires is about an acre in size and is burning within the Emmett and Idaho City Ranger districts.
Steinhaus says no structures are threatened.
