Montana officials have issued a permit for a gigantic load of oil production equipment parked 10 miles outside the border to enter the state.
The Missoulian reports (http://bit.ly/1dbNnci) the Montana Department of Transportation issued the permit Friday for the 450-ton shipment. The shipment for several days has been parked in a pullout off State Highway 93 in Idaho near the top of Lost Trail Pass.
Idaho State Police say the oversized load being moved by Omega Morgan didn't move Saturday morning. A second oversized load parked on U.S. Highway 20 east of Arco also remained stationary.
The shipments are bound for the Kearl oil sands of Alberta in Canada.
