BOZEMAN, Mont. -

The Montana Hope Project helped make a young boy's wish come true Friday night.

John is a six year old boy. His left kidney is failing and poisoning his body.

When troopers learned of John's illness, they began fund raising to help make his dream to go to Disney World come true.

John and his family received a seven day trip to Disney World, with all expenses paid.

Glen Barcus is a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper and works with Montana Hope Project. Barcus told us he wanted to help make John's dream come true.

"I have kids myself and everyday I look at life. When I get down about life, I go, wow, I'm okay. I'm healthy and my kids are healthy," says Barcus.

John has a surgery scheduled for August 6th at the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Association of Montana Troopers sponsors the Montana Hope Project. They founded the Montana Hope Project in 1984. The project has granted nearly 360 wishes to date.
