MISSOULA, Mont. -

Representatives from Senator Max Baucus, Senator Jon Tester, and Congressman Steve Daines have confirmed with NBC Montana that they and their staff members are safe after a shooting was reported at the Capitol Building in Washington D.C.

A spokesperson for Congressman Daines said a shelter in place order was put out after the shooting, and that the office staff was safely locked inside Daine's office.

A spokesperson for Senator Jon Tester said everyone on Tester's staff who isn't under a government shutdown furlough has been accounted for.
