MISSOULA, Mont. - An 18-year-old Missoula man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly dry firing an air gun while he rode around in a friend's car.
Skylor Layneblack Hallock told officers he was "just having fun." He was scheduled to appear in Justice Court Tuesday on charges of assault with a weapon and obstructing a peace officer.
Prosecutors say Hallock told police he was firing a pellet gun to the beat of rap music as they drove around on Friday. He said the gun was not loaded with pellets, but made a popping sound because it was hooked up to a carbon dioxide cartridge.
No one was injured, but residents reported being frightened.
