MISSOULA, Mont. -

On Saturday, the Missoula Mobile Vet Center was parked at the Tremper Shopping Center off of Brooks to assist area veterans. The mobile unit provides veterans with any service they’re able to get from a Vet Center, such as counseling, referrals, and help signing up for VA healthcare.

Saturday’s event was collaboration between the Missoula Vet Center, the local VFW post and Ace Hardware. Organizers estimate that roughly 200 veterans came through during the course of the event.

“This is a really important link, to have an event like this, to come together and maybe find those veterans who fall through the cracks,” said Brian Becker, a Missoula Vet Center outreach coordinator. The center works with combat veterans, survivors of trauma and their families.

Saturday’s event ran from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
