MISSOULA, Mont. -

After much deliberation the Missoula City Council has made a decision to allow accessory dwelling units to be built in single-family neighborhoods.

The topic of ADUs, or granny flats, has been on the council table for over a year and passed narrowly tonight by a vote of 7-to-5.

Now all ADUs will require a conditional use permit and will have to meet city requirements.
