PAYETTE, Idaho -

A 28-year-old man is missing and presumed drowned in the Snake River in western Idaho.
    
Payette police say the man was swimming with several other people when he went under water at about 6 p.m. Saturday.
    
Corp. Garry Toth says the person the man was swimming with tried to grab him, but couldn't.
    
Crews searched until dark on Saturday and all day Sunday, but were unable to locate the man's body.
    
Payette County Sheriff's Lt. Clarence Costner says the man's name will be released once his body is found.
