Man injured during Wounded Warrior duck hunt

DILLON, Mont. - Officials in Beaverhead County say a man helping with a Montana Wounded Warriors program duck hunt over the weekend was injured when he was hit below the eye with bird shot.
Sheriff Jay Hansen says Jason Baker shot a duck Saturday afternoon near Dillon. While retrieving the duck, another hunter from the same party shot at a low-flying group of ducks and bird shot hit Baker just below the eye.
Baker was treated in the emergency room at Barrett Hospital in Dillon and then taken to Saint Patrick Hospital in Missoula.
Hansen says Baker told his office on Monday that he was doing well and planned to get back to work and the Wounded Warrior program soon.
