MISSOULA, Mont. -

One man is in critical condition and another’s in custody after a car wreck just outside of St. Regis Saturday morning. Highway patrol troopers say the two men were traveling on I-90 when their car hit a guard rail. First responders had to extricate the passenger with the Jaws of Life, while the driver reportedly was able to get out on his own.

Troopers suspect that the driver may have been on drugs while driving, and he was taken into custody.  Both men are in their mid twenties. Their names have not been released. Troopers say the passenger is a Montanan, while the driver is from North Dakota.
