BOZEMAN, Mont. -

A Gallatin County man who went on a crime spree across southwest Montana and led authorities on a car chase and man hunt is being sent to prison.

On Friday, Judge Holly Brown re-sentenced Matthew Brandemihl to eight years each for two felony theft charges and one felony criminal endangerment, plus six months for a misdemeanor criminal trespass.

He will serve those sentences at the same time.

She previously sentenced Brandemihl to 10 years with 10 suspended for last year's crime spree and car chase, and ordered him to Treatment Court, which helps offenders with drug and alcohol abuse problems get a fresh start.

But Brandemihl reportedly disappeared and missed meetings with his probation officer.

He was later arrested on a warrant and admitted to skipping out on those meetings.
Brown also ordered Brandemihl to pay more than $60,000 in restitution and fines. He received credit for nearly a year's worth of time he already served.
