BUTTE, Mont. -

A Butte nonprofit organization is helping adults with developmental disabilities and needs the community's help.

Farm in the Dell is a program where adults with developmental disabilities can live and work on a farm outside of Butte. The tenants can learn skills to become self-sufficient while growing and raising products to give back to the community.

The organization is selling poles to raise money to fence the 91 acres around the home. Once the fence is built, they will have livestock on the land for the tenants to take care of.

"What we're trying to do is raise enough money to have our cattle fence as well as start to purchase the livestock we need for the farm. Our goal is to eventually become self-sufficient and in order to do that it takes the community to help us get started," said Program Director John Castle.

Farm in the Dell will be selling the poles at the Butte mall until Saturday at 6 p.m.
