HELENA, Mont. -

The Lewis and Clark County bomb squad has a new vehicle to use to respond to bomb threats across central Montana.

The $140,000, 28-foot, four-wheel-drive Ford Super-Duty F-550 arrived less than a month ago.

The agency bought the truck with money from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security administered by the Montana Disaster and Emergency Services.

The truck is stocked with bomb-proof suits, X-ray devices, and a small robot on wheels that can be used to deactivate explosives. The robot can also be used in standoff situations.
