KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Kalispell man is throwing his hat into the U.S. Senate race. Republican David Leaser announced he would be running for the seat currently occupied by Max Baucus.

According to his Facebook page, Leaser feels Montanans need a voice "that will fight for limited government, individual freedom, and fiscal responsibility.

"I work paycheck to paycheck. I still work paycheck to paycheck. I'm not rich. I'm doing this on a shoestring budget," said Leaser. "People need representation of the people, not of high dollar lawyers and people in big business."

Leaser is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and is currently the air traffic manager at Glacier Park International Airport.
