People in Lakeside were treated to a wooden boat show Sunday afternoon.
There were many different types, shapes, and sizes of boats at the show.
Owners, boat enthusiasts, and even the kids were able to sit and even try out some of the boats.
The show also had raffles, give-away’s, and even a chance to win a wooden boat made right here in Montana.
Alex Berry is the executive director of the Montana Wooden Boat Foundation who helped put the boat show together.
Berry says there's nothing he loves more than getting out on the lake in an antique or wooden boat.
"I mean I love boats of all denominations, but there's nothing nicer than a small wooden boat with a set of oars and getting out on a nice calm morning and rowing,” Berry said. “It's a great way to clear your head and do some thinking."
Berry is hoping to hold more boat shows in Lakeside in the near future.
The Montana Wooden Boat Foundation will also be putting together family boat building classes that Berry says he will be finalizing in the coming weeks.
