POLSON, Mont. -

A Lake County detention officer is in hot water for allegedly hosting an underage drinking party at his home.

Shortly after midnight, Polson police officers were called to a noise complaint at the detention officer's home. That's when they discovered a number of underage and intoxicated drinkers at the residence.

The detention officer is now on paid administrative leave. The employee's name is currently withheld due to privacy concerns.

Lake County Sheriff Jay Doyle says administrative leave is standard practice whenever there are possible criminal charges pending against an office employee. An internal investigation is also underway.
