ANACONDA, Mont. - Anaconda health officials say the number of whooping cough cases continues to rise in the area.
We talked to the health department Tuesday afternoon to get an update.
They told us there have now been 18 confirmed cases of pertussis, a highly contagious sickness that can be deadly for infants and the elderly.
That's up from 11 cases on Friday.
300 more residents have had close contact with the illness and could be infected.
