Two Bozeman men accused of operating motel meth lab

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Prosecutors charged two Bozeman men with operating a meth lab in an east Bozeman motel room.

Devon Wayne Arnaud, 26, and Jesse James Moore, 31, each face one felony count of operating an unlawful clandestine laboratory at the Continental Motor Inn on the 1300 hundred block of East Main Street.

Court records say on Tuesday, February 25 police responded to a report of a fire at the motel right around 9:00 p.m.

When officers and fire crews arrived they found evidence of a small explosion, including a window blown out and a damaged door.

Prosecutors say in documents that police on the scene found items consistent with the operation of a methamphetamine lab.  Police called in the Missouri River Drug Task to help with the operation.

Investigators with the Missouri River Drug Task Force say evidence in the room indicated that the suspects were using a "one pot" method, and that the explosion was the result of the attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
