Senator John Walsh meets with Butte seniors to talk health care

BUTTE, Mont. - U.S. Senator John Walsh met with with Butte senior citizens to talk health care Monday afternoon.

During a round table at the Belmont Senior Center, Walsh listened to concerns that sometimes it takes up two months to receive money from the government for programs like Meals on Wheels, and that the Medicare system doesn't communicate well with other systems. As patents move from clinics to hospitals records don't follow them.

After leaving the center, Walsh headed to Headframe Spirits and announced the formation of a craft distillers' caucus.

The caucus aims to lower small distillers' tax rates, to help them compete against larger distilleries that right now pay the same taxes as them.
