BUTTE, Mont. - In Butte, more than Three-hundred people came to watch the Mining City Star singing competition.
Twenty performers took the stage at the Copper King Hotel to show off their talents, competing for prizes and the title of mining city star.
Our very own Laurel Staples was there as one of the judges listening to songs that ranged from opera to hip-hop.
Performer Lexis Clements tells us she got butterflies when she first took the stage.
"Everybody is so good so this is definitely a tough year," Clements said. "The toughest year I've been in and I'm excited to see how it turns out, excited to see who places and who gets the prizes and who gets the other categories. So yeah, it's been a blast and Sweet T.E.A does a great job."
