One dead after small plane crash near West Yellowstone


WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. - The Gallatin County Sheriff's Offices says one person is dead and another is in critical condition after a Monday morning plane crash.

According to investigators the small passenger plane went down right around 11:30 a.m at the West Yellowstone Airport.

One man died in the crash, another was flown to Idaho Falls and is in critical condition.

Emergency personnel from the Sheriff's Department, Hebgen Basin Rural Fire and the U.S. Forest Service responded.

The identities of the two people on the plane have not been released.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
