BOZEMAN, Mont. - Runners lined up bright and early Thursday morning for the annual Huffing for Stuffing 5 and 10-k fun runs- a tradition for many folks in Bozeman.
The run is a fundraiser for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.
This year, organizers expected 4,000 participants and hoped to raise around $50,000.
Gallatin Valley Food Bank Director Tim Trzinski explained what Huffing for Stuffing means to food bank and the community.
"The support of our neighbors coming out for the race, making sure that they're dropping food donations by- you know we serve almost 10 to 12,000 people each and every year. That amount of activity just isn't possible without community's help," Trzinski said.
This is the 7th annual Huffing for Stuffing Thanksgiving day run.
Over the years, it's raised around $190,000 for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.
