Gallatin Fair kicks off Wednesday morning


BOZEMAN, Mont. - The Gallatin County Fair starts Wednesday. Officials say they expect over 10,000 people.

NBC Montana stopped by the fairgrounds Tuesday and noticed crews putting on the final touches.

Over at the animal pens, workers were spreading hay, getting the pens ready for the everything from prize-winning pigs to blue-ribbon bunnies.

Carnival crews were unpacking all the midway rides and carnival games, making the final adjustments.

Food vendors started to find their spot on the fairgrounds and began preparing their stations for Wednesday night.

Linda Boggess and her husband sell the Texas Twister Drink. Boggess says the setup is a lot of work.

Gates at the fairgrounds open Wednesday starting at 8 a.m.
