Hanneberry Cabin Fire
Detected: April 10, 2014
Cause: Under Investigation
Location: 17 Miles SW of Dillon, MT
Jurisdiction: Bureau of Land Management, Dillon Field Office
Size: 31 acres

Summary: The Hanneberry Cabin fire was first reported at 2 p.m. this afternoon. The fire is located approximately 17 miles SW of Dillon near the east side of I-15 and is burning in grass and brush.
Firefighters are on scene and working to establish a fireline around the perimeter. Two helicopters are also helping firefighters by providing water drops along the front of the fire and on hot spots.
Personnel from the Bureau of Land Management, MT DNRC, Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the Lima and Dillon Volunteer Fire Departments are assisting in the firefighting efforts. The Union Pacific Railroad has temporarily halted train traffic. I-15 is not closed; however, travelers along the I-15 corridor are advised to drive carefully through this area so as to not cause accidents.
