Eagle Mount raises money, sells flowers for Mother's Day

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Eagle Mount Bozeman's Horticulture Program is selling plants to raise money for their program and help folks celebrate Mother's Day.

They're set up just inside Owenhouse Ace Hardware's West Main location on Huffine and will be there between 10a and 2p on Wednesday. Plants are between $3 and $4.

Eagle Mount Horticulture participants propagated and grew each plant for sale.

Their program features raised beds for easy wheel chair access and a greenhouse for winter and early spring planting.
Organizers says growing things helps participants feel good. Plus, they say it's an opportunity for hands-on learning.

"A sense of well being, being close to nature and we always have a factual component to it.  So that they really are learning to identify  the good, weeds and maybe make better food choices," explains Eagle Mount Horticulture Program Coordinator Susan Lear.

All proceeds of the sale go towards the horticulture program. Organizers say they're also looking for volunteers for the program. For more information, you can visit their website.
