BOZEMAN, Mont. - Representative Steve Daines was in Bozeman Monday morning visiting a Montana State University research farm.
The Senate candidate took a tour of the MSU Post Agronomy farm to learn about research being done to develop new grain varieties. During his trip he spoke to farmers, ranchers and community leaders about Montana's agriculture industry.
"I'm hoping today to really talk with researchers and find out what's going on at Montana State University. Agriculture has really become a high-tech business in Montana. We've made so much progress here in better farming and ranching techniques. And I hope I get updates on what they're learning here," said Daines
Monday was the first of several stops in a week-long tour across the state.
