Council, judge, mayor seats up for election in Beaverhead Co.


BOZEMAN, Mont. - In Beaverhead County, Dillon voters will make their marks for the next mayor, council members and city judge on November's ballot.

Current Mayor Martin Malesich is running against Michael Klakken for the four-year mayoral term.

No one officially filed for City Council in Wards I, III and IV, but there are write-in candidates. For Ward I that's Dick Auchter, Bill Schafer for Ward III and Nils Troedson in Ward IV. Harv Lake Jr, Ray White and Randy Gustine are the current council members not running for re-election.

Lynn Westad is running uncontested for reelection of Ward II Councilperson. City Judge candidate John Gutcheck is also uncontested.

The other city in Beaverhead County with elections on November 5 is Lima, and the candidates for mayor and two councilperson seats are uncontested.
