BOZEMAN, Mont. - On Saturday, corgi owners from across the Gallatin Valley will gather for the first event of it's kind- Corgis in the Snow Play Day.
The event will be complete with corgi races, fetching, a hot dog dig and prizes for categories like "cutest bottom" and "biggest ears."
But it's not just fun and games- play day organizer Gallatin Valley Corgi Club will collect pet food donations for families in need.
"We wanted to do good around the community" said club member and corgi owner, Tiffany Feisthamel. "We decided that the food bank would be a good place to start."
The Camera Club of Bozeman will also be at Corgis in the Snow, taking pictures for a five dollar donation to Corgi Pals- an organization that raises money for vet bills.
She and fellow member Michele Koenig said they hope to make the play day a tradition.
"We're going to try and do, I think two events a year that will benefit some organization in the community" Koenig said.
Corgis in the Snow is on Saturday at the West Paw Dog Park at Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter from 1 to 3 pm.
The ladies said corgi owner or not, everyone is welcome to attend.
