MISSOULA, Mont. - The following is a news release is from State Representative and U.S. Senate-hopeful Champ Edumnds (R-Missoula).
On Tuesday morning Champ Edmunds, who was challenging Sen. Baucus in the 2014 election, used social media to respond to Baucus's announcement that he plans to retire and will not seek reelection in 2014.

Champ Edmunds, a 10-year Navy veteran and University of Montana graduate, is currently serving his second term in the Montana House of Representatives where he sits on the House Appropriations committee.
