Bozeman women honored for achievements at special ceremony

BOZEMAN, Mont. - Bozeman Business and Professional Women (BBPW) hold their yearly Honor's Program to bring ladies together to network, socialize and honor some incredible women in the community.

The organization handed out three awards- Woman of Achievement, Employer of the Year and Young Careerist.

Woman of Achievement and Employer of the Year are based on nominations, and Young Careerist is chosen through a candidate application process, speech competition and interview.

Carol Townsend, President and CEO of Greater Gallatin United Way won Woman of Achievement. CPA Paula Johnson accepted Employer of the Year on behalf of Anderson ZurMuehlen & Company, P.C.

Ashley Stevick of Ashley Stevick Photography received the honor of Young Careerist. KTVM's own Lauren Maschmedt was the runner up for Young Careerist.

Attendees and organizers said it was such a fun evening filled with inspiring recognition of wonderful women in the Bozeman community.

"There are so many women out there doing incredible things in their careers- either young professionals, or women that had been doing their career for many years" said Carol Scott, BBPW Honors Committee Co-Chair. "This is a very important time to take that moment and recognize those people."
