Bozeman eyes ways to grow industrial park

BOZEMAN, Mont. -  The Bozeman City Commission has unanimously adopted a 95-page master plan to attract businesses to an undeveloped piece of property northwest of Bozeman.
Reports say the commission earlier this month approved the plan for the industrial park named North Park.
The site includes city-owned land at Mandeville Farm and adjoining state-owned school trust lands. It is the largest undeveloped property zoned for industrial use in Bozeman.
Bozeman Economic Development Director Brit Fontenot says the city wants to create high-paying jobs that are typically associated with high-tech manufacturing companies.
He says those kinds of jobs would pay enough for workers to buy homes and help expand the city.
