BOZEMAN, Mont. - Folks with Schedulicity say an appointment is booked on their site almost every second, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They say it's because it makes the menial task even easier for consumers and for small service businesses that use it, it's a game changer.
"They operating more efficiently they're booking more appointments, they're getting new customers and again, seeing increases in their revenue anywhere between 20 and 300%," says Schedulicity founder Jerry Nettuno.
Nettuno launched the site in 2010. Three years later, the business has booked over 20 million appointments, facilitated close to $1.4 billion in service based business and now, a partnership with multi-billion dollar company BSG.
"They have the ability to potentially give us tens of thousands of new customers for us, which brings in millions of new customers for us, as well," explains Nettuno.
I wanted to know first hand what the partnership with BSG means for Schedulicity's customers so, I stopped at a Bozeman salon to speak with stylists who us the site.
"It's been amazing," says hair stylist Charlene Beaudry.
She's been using Schedulicity for the past two years. Beaudry says it's changed the way she does business. She says she used to spend a lot of her time answering the phone, returning missed calls and rescheduling appointments, time she couldn't spend with her clients.
"It's eliminated a lot of that so, your client feels more like they have your time, not divided between you and answering the phone," says Beaudry.
Plus, Beaudry says Schedulicity has meant more appointments and fewer cancellations.
"Just being able to search online for a different stylist in different cities and things like that. They're able to find you and then, through that, be able to just book an appointment right away, nine o'clock, ten o'clock at night," says Beaudry.
She says the recent partnership is welcomed news, not only for her, but service businesses and stylists around the country.
"Now, more and more stylists are going to be able to benefit, just like I have. I think it's a fantastic merger for them and for us as stylists," says Beaudry.
For folks with Schedulicity, they say it means the potential for exponential growth.
Nettuno tells me they are constantly working to improve the scheduling and are making changes due out in February.
