Bobcat fans brave cold to show team spirit


BOZEMAN, Mont. - The Bobcats are gearing up for the Cat-Griz rivalry game. Friday night in downtown Bozeman dozens of fans gathered for the MSU pep rally. Fans of all ages braved the cold to get pumped up for Saturday's game.

The Spirit of the West marching band, cheerleaders and mascot Champ were out at the corner of Main and Willson on Friday night. Bobcat fans lined up for free hotdogs and hot chocolate. But the crowd really got excited when head coach Rob Ash and a few team members got up on the stage to talk about crushing the Griz. Cody Kirk spoke on behalf of the players.

"I'm sure everybody out here hates Missoula U, hates the Grizzlies, I know I do. Can I get some noise? Let's go, we are looking forward to tomorrow, it's going to be a fun game! Stay warm, cheer loud, keep the body warm and make sure you guys have a good time tonight and we will celebrate the big win tomorrow night!" said Kirk.

Kickoff is at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday. NBC Montana will have full coverage and highlights of the big game.
