BOZEMAN, Mont. - A Gallatin County Sheriff's Deputy was in for quite a surprise when an alleged drunk driver rammed into his patrol SUV early Sunday morning, then ran.
The SUV was at Bozeman Ford Monday afternoon, as workers assessed the damage.
Police reports state 53 year-old James Mitchell t-boned the deputy on the corner of 7th and Main just after 2:30 am Sunday.
The impact damaged the entire driver's side and set off the air bags.
Sheriff Brian Gootkin said the Sheriff's Deputy is okay.
Mitchell was arrested a short time later on North 7th and charged with DUI, No Insurance and Fail to Give Info and Immediate Notice.
