BOZEMAN, Mont. - More than 100 people gathered at a Bozeman park today for a different kind of holiday parade. Children and parents of all ages participated in the fifth annual Fourth of July Kids Parade circling Beall Park.
The Bozeman Fire Department helped kick it off as children decorated their floats with streamers, flags and pinwheels.
Donations were accepted to benefit Beall Park. Organizers and attendees called the parade "fun" and "low key."
"Some day it would be awesome to work with the city and block off more streets and make it bigger," said organizer Nancy Clair Laird, "because it's getting bigger, so it'd be cool to make it bigger some day."
When we asked participant Liliana Amjadi Klass what she thought would be most fun about being in the parade, she told us, "Seeing the fire truck, but we do not want to go in it!"
