Woman rescued from Clark Fork river


MISSOULA, Mont. - Missoula search and rescue crews saved a rafter who was stranded on a bridge beam.

The woman's raft hit the beam of a railroad bridge near downtown Missoula and tipped over, leaving the woman clinging to the beam.

She was not wearing a life jacket when the incident happened, and fire officials are urging people who are not sure about their swimming abilities to wear life jackets.
