Whitefish prepares Voisin welcome home ceremeony


MISSOULA, Mont. - Whitefish is planning a big welcome home celebration for one of Montana's own Olympians.

15-year-old Maggie Voisin was the youngest U.S. Winter Olympian in 40 years. Voisin was injured during training and could not compete.  But Whitefish is planning a special welcome home.

A fire truck ride is scheduled for Tuesday through Whitefish down Central Avenue.  It starts at 4 p.m.

It is followed by a special celebration in Depot Park, with a special "knighting" ceremony, hot chocolate and cake.
