UPDATED: Schools closed and delayed due to dangerous weather


Missoula, Mont. - Missoula County Public Schools will start on time today, Monday, February 24, 2014.

Seeley Lake High School will be delayed 1 hour.

St. Ignatius, Darby, Superior, St. Regis, Missoula Valley Christian, Victor, Salish Kootenai College and Two Eagle River schools will be closed Monday. 

Alberton, Frenchtown, Charlo, Drummond, Arlee, Stevensville, Lone Rock, Boulder Elementary, Dixon Elementary and Potomac schools are all starting two hours late.

NBC Montana talked to the Superintendent of Superior Public Schools, Scott Kinney, who tells us the district is cancelling all classes on Monday, due to dangerous, snowy weather.  

No buses will run on Monday morning.  No students should come to campus. The campus is closed.

Kinney says travel is too dangerous.

Kinney and the district will decide Monday night or early Tuesday morning about classes on Tuesday.
