UM sanctions Griz coach, football player for separate incidents


MISSOULA, Mont. - University of Montana officials have confirmed for NBC Montana that Griz football player William "Bo" Harris was charged with misdemeanor DUI after he was pulled over in Missoula earlier this month.

According to a complaint obtained by NBC Montana, Harris was allegedly driving a white 2001 Ford vehicle with a license plate GRIZ90 when he was pulled over in Missoula city limits. The complaint alleges he was driving 45 mph is a 25 mph zone, and had a BAC of .097. He's pleaded not guilty.

In a separate matter, University officials say they sanctioned a coach in relation to an incident at a downtown Missoula bar. A window was reportedly broken, though no charges have been filed at this time.

Officials say a player is being interviewed in regards to the incident as well, but no sanctions have been imposed.
