UM Athletic Department holds drive to help Oklahoma tornado survivors

MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of Montana Athletic Department is responding to requests by the University of Oklahoma to help tornado survivors.

OU asked UM to help in a goods drive. The Griz have turned out in force, donating water bottles, clothing, toys for kids, toiletries and other necessities.

It's a unified effort.

"We've had people from the soccer team bringing things over and the volleyball team," said marketing assistant Sarah Bigelow, "from Grizzly Scholarship Association, and from the training room, just everyone is coming together."

But you don't have to be a Griz to donate. If you'd like to help, drop your gifts by the Adams Center marketing and sports information office.

The donations will be sent out Thursday.
