Trial date set for Missoula drug sting shooting suspect

MISSOULA, Mont. - A suspect arrested in a Missoula drug sting turned shooting is headed to trial.

Joshua Robinson appeared in Missoula County District Court Tuesday.

Robinson is one of four people arrested last November in an undercover drug investigation outside Gold's Gym on Reserve Street.

Prosecutors say an officer and Robinson ended up shooting at each other after Robinson tried to rob the officer.

In court Tuesday, Robinson's attorney told District Court Judge Karen Townsend that they would like to head to trial for the case. Townsend scheduled the trial for June 18.

Rachelle Kolden who was also arrested in connection with the drug bust faced Judge Townsend Tuesday as well, but without an attorney.

Kolden was supposed to set a date for her own trial, but her attorney didn't show up for the court appearance. Townsend asked her to come back in two weeks for a trial scheduling hearing.

A third suspect, Jazmine Beehler, has a trial scheduling conference set for next month.

A fourth suspect, Justin Holdstheenemy, pleaded guilty to a felony robbery charge. He's scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
