Third victim dies after February Lolo crash

MISSOULA, Mont. - A February crash near Lolo that killed a Missoula woman and a Florence 9-year-old, has now claimed the life of a third victim.

Friends of 47-year-old Pam Okon report that she was removed from life support yesterday and passed away. Her daughter, 9-year-old girl Meghan Okon, died a day after that crash. Another daughter, who was also in the crash, survived.

The crash happened February 22. The Montana Highway Patrol says 23-year-old Hannah Capen lost control of her pickup truck on Highway 93 at about 5:30 p.m., and the vehicle drifted over the center line and struck the sport utility vehicle carrying the Okon family.

Capen was a teacher at Hellgate Elementary School. The crash also injured a 25-year-old man riding in her pickup.
