Suspect accused in drunken high-speed chase faces judge

MISSOULA, Mont. - A Missoula man faced a judge Monday, after police arrested him Saturday morning after a brief high-speed pursuit.

Dylan Tanner faces four felony charges for criminal endangerment and a multiple misdemeanors after authorities tried to stop him for speeding near Dore Lane and Brooks.

Police say Tanner was drunk and sped to more than double the speed limit before losing control of his car and hitting several vehicles.  He left the scene on foot.

Monday, Judge Suzanne Geer set Tanner's bail at $15,000.

"The defendant put this community in danger," said Missoula Deputy County Attorney Jessica Finley. "He's also responsible for many individuals' property."

Geer told Tanner if he gets out of jail he'll have to enroll in an alcohol monitoring program.
