STEVENSVILLE, Mont. - The 102nd annual Creamery Picnic is expected to draw upwards of 5,000 people. On Friday, vendors were getting set up. Entries for the parade are ready.
The Creamery is 102 years old. The picnic has a colorful history and a story of remarkable challenge.
"The creamery building burned down," said vendor coordinator Scott Falagan, "and the mayor said if we could quickly rebuild the building, they would have a picnic to celebrate, and that was 102 years ago, and we're still celebrating that event."
The creamery picnic parade starts at 11 a.m. Saturday downtown.
There's also a volleyball tournament, bands and lots of food and beverages.
