Snowstorm causes power outages around western Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. - Northwestern Energy says about 900 people are without power in the Rattlesnake neighborhood in Missoula. The company estimates they should have it restored by 5 p.m.

The Grant Creek area has an estimated repair time of 2:30 p.m.

According to Northwestern Energy's Twitter feed, power is back on for about 3,700 people in central Missoula after an early morning outage. That outage was centered around the intersection of Brooks and Russell streets.

No reasons were given for the outages, but much of western Montana is still under a Winter Storm Warning.
