MISSOULA, Mont. - Sentencing has been delayed for a former University of Montana football player who pleaded guilty to raping an acquaintance as she slept on his couch after an evening of drinking.
A judge on Friday delayed the sentencing for 22-year-old Beau Donaldson for one month after Donaldson's attorney requested more time to analyze a psychosexual evaluation of his client as well as additions to a presentence investigation.
Donaldson was scheduled to be sentenced next week. He pleaded guilty in September to sexual intercourse without consent after admitting to the 2010 rape in a phone call monitored by police.
Prosecutors have said they will recommend a 30-year prison term with 20 years suspended and 10 years in the Montana State Prison.
