MISSOULA, Mont. - A University of Montana staple is closing its doors for the last time this weekend.
Food for Thought, located directly across the street from the university, has been a go-to for countless UM students for years.
We're told employees just learned on Wednesday that the cafe's last day of business would be on Sunday.
The owner told us she's been trying to sell the business for 4 years, and she can't afford needed upgrades.
Students and employees we talked are shocked to learn Food for Thought is closing.
"All the people who go to school for now on will never have all the good feelings and delicious food that food for thought provides," said UM student Claire Dal Norage. "Morose, perturbed - those are words that come to mind."
"It's going to be weird not having the same job I've had since I've been here," said Food for Thought employee Kevin Redmond. "It's kind of Missoula, honestly."
We're told the business is still for sale. No word on any buyers.
