Officer injured in Missoula shooting released from hospital


MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Police Department has confirmed with NBC Montana that the officer injured during a shooting on Wednesday has been released from the hospital.

We're told the officer was undercover during a drug bust when shots broke out.

The officer was reportedly hit with a bullet fired by a male suspect and then returned fire, shooting the suspect and sending them both to the hospital.

The suspect, 25-year-old Joshua Lee Robinson, was treated and released.

He appeared in Missoula County Justice Court on Friday, along with 22-year-old Jazmine Beehler, who's also a suspect in the case.

Both suspects face a number of felony charges, including conspiracy to commit robbery, criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, and attempted deliberate homicide.
