Multiple arrests connected to Missoula Halloween party

MISSOULA, Mont. - New information on a drug bust at a Missoula Halloween party that netted a University of Montana  football player.

That player, 20-year-old Trevor Poole,  and four other men appeared in court  Monday.

Thousands attended ‘Disco Bloodbath III,' a Halloween dance party Saturday night. It took place near the ‘Wye' west of Missoula. The annual event took place in a circus tent on Cartage Road.

The Missoula Drug Task Force sent undercover cops to the party. They made five arrests. Four at the event and one other later, all related to the party and drugs.

Those men showed up in Missoula County Justice Court Monday. Court records say 24-year-old Kyle Don Nelson approached an undercover officer and attempted to sell MDMA, a dangerous drug similar to Ecstasy. Documents say Nelson told officers he bought the drug at the party. Nelson was released on his own recognizance.

Trevor McGougan Poole, 20, allegedly bought MDMA from someone at the party. He was also released on his own recognizance.

Court documents say Matthew Tyler Rardin, 28, approached an undercover cop and offered to sell him a Schedule I dangerous drug. According to prosecutors Rardin's been convicted of five prior drug offenses. The judge set bail at $50,000.

Burke McCullogh also faced two felony charges, for allegedly selling LSD to an undercover cop at a Missoula party. He also has significant criminal history. Bail was set at $10,000.

A fifth man, Christopher Nicholas Hays, was arrested for criminal mischief and burglary. He plead guilty to both charges in court Monday. Prosecutors say they believe he attended Disco Bloodbath earlier in the evening where he drank alcohol and took drugs, before he broke into a window and started to crawl in the house before the woman who lived there told him to leave.

Extra patrols from the Missoula County Sheriff's Department and members of the Missoula Drug Task Force were in the area of the party Saturday night. No DUI citations were handed out in relation to Disco Bloodbath.
