Montanans protest against the IRS

Montanans protest against the IRS 6-19-13

MISSOULA, Mont. - People around the country protested against the IRS Wednesday, and Montanans took part, too.

Our cameras caught a protest in Missoula Wednesday.  Protestors carried signs and waved flags and called for the IRS to be audited and abolished.

The protest stems from revelations the IRS admitted it increased scrutiny on non-profit groups tied to conservative political agendas.

Gloria Roark is the chairman of the Missoula Tea Party.  She slammed the IRS for what she called its "intrusiveness of burdening taxpayers with investigations and unfair accusations as well as targeting specific groups just because of our beliefs."

Similar protests were held around the country, including one on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
